La « trilogie terrestre » a débuté en 2016 par la conférence-performance INSIDE, suivie en 2019 par Moving Earths et en 2020 par Viral. L’ensemble du projet est une réflexion sur la nécessité d’un profond renouvellement de nos représentations du monde terrestre, biotique et abiotique. INSIDE explorait les alternatives visuelles à l’image obsédante et trompeuse du « Globe » ; Moving Earths nous plongeait dans l’expérience d’une terre en mouvement, réactive ; VIRAL est une exploration de la contagion comme processus essentiel à la constitution de notre monde confiné, et une réflexion sur les conséquences politiques d’une redéfinition élargie du vivant. Les trois conférences-performances sont le résultat d’un processus de création et de recherche singulier au long cours développé au Théâtre Nanterre-Amandiers, où le philosophe Bruno Latour et la metteure en scène Frédérique Aït-Touati font du plateau un lieu d’« essais scéniques » et d’expérimentations philosophiques.

The « terrestrial trilogy » started in 2016 with the INSIDE performance conference, followed in 2019 by Moving Earths and in 2020 by Viral. The whole project is a reflection on the need for a profound renewal of our representations of the terrestrial world, biotic and abiotic. INSIDE explored visual alternatives to the haunting and deceptive image of the "Globe"; Moving Earths immersed us in the experience of a moving, reactive earth; VIRAL is an exploration of contagion as an essential process of our closed world, and the political consequences of this expanded definition of life. The three lectureperformances are the result of a singular process of creation and long term research developed at the Théâtre Nanterre Amandiers, where the philosopher Bruno Latour and the director Frédérique Aït-Touati make the stage a place for "scenic essays" and philosophical experimentation.
